Envases Tetra Pak de desecho y sus aplicaciones

Con el objetivo de dar a conocer el valor agregado que pueden tener los materiales utilizados en los empaques para la conservación de alimentos, los cuales son difíciles de reciclar y que producen contaminación al ser arrojados en rellenos sanitarios, este artículo se enfoca en estudiar las áreas científicas en las que se han utilizado estos materiales, que involucran al polietileno, celulosa y aluminio. La metodología se centró en la identificación de investigaciones científicas que han utilizado estos materiales y que muestran resultados positivos cuando son aprovechados de manera eficiente. Los resultados presentados en el artículo demuestran que los envases Tetra Pak® de posconsumo poseen una gran versatilidad cuando se destinan para diferentes áreas científicas de estudio. Lo que permite concluir que los envases Tetra Pak® no deben considerarse como productos desechables de un solo uso.
